This broken back seax blade is for sale
Seax Blade 237
The blade is just over 7” long and 8mm thick at the broken back and 6mm thick at the hilt.
The Blade is a 5 bar construction, with wrought iron at the back, then two layers of twisted steel. The two twisted layers are made up of 15 layers of alternating 15n20 and En42.
Following that there is another layer of wrought iron and then finallly a bar of high layer damascus at the edge. The damascus is presented side on, so as to give the effect of piled steel.
