I have for sale this bearded axe.I have called it Dark angel it has a sweeping wing shaped blade.The axe is not directly based on any historic piece or indeed type . It is the kind of axe I would have imagined as a kid.

The axe if Made by the punch and drift method and is punched out of a solid billet of EN9 (1050) steel. The blade is triple normalised and differentially hardened in oil, it is them tempered twice.
the axe weighs 3lb 3oz including the handle.the centre of balance is within the beard .
The blade is 10 1/4 inches long and 81/2 front to back .
the handle is 35 inches long and made from flame blackened ash.
