I have for sale 2 Broken Back seax blades.
These are constructed from wrought iron that has been forge welded to a high carbon steel edge, the blades show natural “hamon” where the steel has differential harden along the edge of the blades.
Seax No 242 :
Wrought iron back carbon steel edge differentially hardened with double scraped fuller. The blade is just under 6” long and 5mm at broken back, 4mm at hilt.
