“Bush Forged” Paring Knife 582 (5″)

4.5%22forge finished paring knife 582

This is a 5” forged finished kitchen knife. The blade has a polished “Bush Forged” finish. This knife has not been ground back, apart from where the edge is sharpened to a razors edge. This is bringing the idea of a kitchen knife back to basics. Raw steel forged to shape and sharpened to a razor edge from my forge  to your kitchen.

During  forging, the blade is drawn out into a gradual taper but retains some of its thickness where it meets the handle. This is a heavier kitchen knife blade the weight of the blade aiding the chopping and cutting action of the knife.

The handle is walnut, bone and buffalo horn.

Materials: EN42J carbon steel, Walnut, bone and Buffalo Horn.

Blade length is 5 inches long,  just over 1 inches wide and 2mm thick at the handle.

The knife weighs aproximatly 60 grams.

I am making these knives in small batches, the blade patterning and wood grain of the knife you receive may differ slightly form the knife in the photograph.

Price £140 (plus postage)

I offer a guarantee against faulty manufacture for the lifetime of the knives. This does not cover abusive use of the knives or wear and tear. The handle materials on these knives are natural and as such, must be looked after. These knives will not respond well to being left soaking in a sink or (and it pains me to even think of it) put in a dishwasher. I would consider both of these actions as knife abuse.  Use them, clean them, dry them and they will remain beautiful for years to come.
